Wachito Rico is the first full length album from Boy Pablo, aka 21-year-old Nicolas Pablo Rivera Muñoz. After his career was kicked off by the success of his single Everytime on his first EP Roy Pablo in 2017, Muñoz followed up in 2018 with another EP under the title Soy Pablo. In Wachito Rico Muñoz shows off his development as a musician and artist, with the album's release accompanied by a multi-track short film starring Boy Pablo as main character Wachito Rico. 

On Wachito Rico, Muñoz establishes  his commitment to innocent romantic struggles. The album title itself signifies an alter-ego, meaning ‘handsome boy’ in Chilean slang. The pseudonym becomes a canvas for Muñoz to combine his own experiences with a touch of nostalgic fantasy. The 13 track album centers around romantic lyrics and escapist dream-pop, with Boy Pablo reflecting about his romantic struggles and the idealism of teenage life.
